This gate is probably the only part left of Marco Polo’s house. This famous Venitian tradesman brought gunpowder’s and pasta’s recipes from China.

He also wrote his stay with the Great Khan in a book. It seemed so outstanding at that time that people thought it was all lies ! (a milion of lies !)
